This week we have settled into more routines and begun our road to becoming true inquirers in 4B. Maths rotations on Place Value, science experiments and discussions on the water cycle, writing persuasive advertisements for our own water brands and reading non-fiction to identify key information about the supply and uses of water in Ghana and Kenya have been our main focuses. Look at the slideshow to see some of the interactions and happenings that have kept us so occupied.
The key concepts for this unit are form, causation and connection. As we move into deeper inquiry about the distribution of and access to clean and fresh water globally and locally, it would be a great idea for parents and students to discuss these concepts together to add to the combined understanding. By asking questions of each other and searching for answers together we can all become better learners and more aware of our responsibilities towards our precious resources.
As we move into our third week of the school year we do so with enthusiasm and open-minds.
